SPANISH MOBS STILL ACTIVE.
Further Disturbances at Alicante, Valencia, and Barcelona.
MADRID, July 4.–At Alicante to-day a mob stoned the stores whose owners refused to close. The Octroi offices were set on fire by the rioters.
During a cavalry charge at Valencia, a Frenchman who attempted to raise a French flag at a window was injured.
Barcelona Under State of Siege.
BARCELONA, Oct. 27 – A state of siege has been proclaimed in this province.

MADRID, Nov. 18. — The Spanish cruiser Emperador Carlos V. has been ordered to Barcelona, where she will be used as a prison for the instigators of the opposition to the payment of taxes.
