The baldie is fled, long live the baldie!

The business (basically a CRM database) passed into better hands in 2012. These materials remain here for cannibalisation and amusement.

The baldie meanwhile has found pastures new: as a singing organ-grinder for your event in the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands or Spain!

Barcelona tours - Cherry orchards, castle, forests, chapels

asdaThis walk starts in a pretty hilltop village in the hills near Barcelona, dominated by a 12th century castle (1/2/3) and with various other interesting buildings and an impressive display of Mediterranean flora (check out the Agave americana v. variegata 1/2/3). As we climb into the hills behind, with views over Catalonia's old industrial heartland, we'll visit an interesting Miocene site, with a profusion of tiny fossils preserved in well-stratified marine deposits and big natural crevices. Then up into the forest, where we'll stop briefly at a Romanesque sanctuary and a high lookout point, with views of the Collserola range, Montserrat, Sant Llorenç del Munt, Montseny etc. As we come down the other side of the valley, we'll encounter old farms, secret springs thronged with massive trees, and soft fruit orchards (mainly cherries), with good long views of the castle (1/2/3).

Roughly how much will it cost?

This is the total size of the group. Unlike other (city) tours, you won't have to share your guide with a couple of dozen strangers.

Book this tour

  1. Fill in your details and submit the form below.
  2. If you just want more info, we'll send you that.
  3. Otherwise we'll send you full information, a fixed price, and details of how to pay securely. (If you pay via Paypal or Google Checkout, we'll quote and bill you in British pounds. This marginally reduces our admin costs and, barring a sudden collapse of your currency, doesn't hurt you.)
  4. If after you have paid you change your mind about the day or the walk, or if the weather is really bad, then we'll try out best to offer you another option. Our cancellation and refund policy is here.
