Everyone except UMassD prof Brian Glyn Williams, the Huffington Post and Greek nationalists has known for more than a decade that there's no way they were left behind by Alexander. No great loss: it was always a pretty unimaginative story, and what actually may have happened (via) is quite extraordinary. Don't get me wrong: I love silly old stories, but they've got serious competition.

The Kalasha (Kalasha: Kaĺaśa, Nuristani: Kasivo) or Kalash, are an Indo-Aryan Dardic indigenous people residing in the Chitral District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. They speak the Kalasha language, from the Dardic family of the Indo-Aryan branch.
