David Icke-like view of the relationship between pigeons and statues

I was talking to a sculptor the other night who thinks that statues are designed to be bird-friendly on the orders of a mysterious avian deity. No sooner has one saint got a mole on his shoulder then everyone wants one, and so in Buñuel’s L’âge de or life copies art and your man walks past with what can only be a monstrous bird-perch balanced on his bonce:
