The variations from town to town in the same region are notable in themselves. Some examples from around here: The /r/ in /ar/ infinitives gets dropped entirely, ie, piso sin amebueblá. The /r/ in /er/ and /ir/ infinitives transformed to /l/, especially in the latter case. 'il', 'subil'. The dropping of the /d/ in the past participle does not apply to the cigarette brand. It is entirely possible to buy a pack of 'Ducados caducaos'. Extreme confusion surrounding any of the consonants in the x, j, s, z, f spectrum when followed by other consonants. Items similar to the conversion of the name 'Alfredo' to 'Alfedro'. And the supreme challenge to your algorythm... ca pancalá... which referred, prior to the substitution of 'encalar' with 'blanquear' in normal usage, to a home decorating product.
