Perhaps the most extraordinary wrongdoing in the whole affair is that over a number of years the police, which is to say the mayor, tolerated a squat run by a psychotic whose raves kept a densely packed residential area awake every weekend and served as a major focus for dealers.

   Thanks for the plug Trevor.

   I quite agree about the squat.

   One of the factors in the police’s decision to fit up the three lads was probably the fact that the squat was a property owned by the town council. If the fatal stone/plant-pot had fallen from the squat, then the council could be held responsible for not evicting the squatters.
