The Spanish official translators working on the ongoing Madrid bomb trial have said that 90% of the transcription of recordings alleged mastermind Mo the Egyptian has little to do with the translations carried by the Italians, which served as grounds for his extradition and on which the prosecution has been basing its case. Specifically, they say that the Italian translators didn’t know much about Arabic language or culture and that their work was frivolous and irresponsible and created a fictional context. G of Liverpool predicts that the Italians will collapse to their knees crying foul and that our lot will get sent off, but that sounds like sour grapes.
