By the way, what do you think of linguistic finds like “Bulchitear” (To bullshit: “Ese pendejo te estaba bulchiteando. Aquí no hay trabajo para ti.”) or “Vidal” (Lifer: “Es un vidal porque mató a una familia entera.”)?

(One of the weird things about purists objecting to the growth of Spanglish is that (I believe) the evolution of Latin to give us peninsular tongues like (eventually) Spanish was so similar in various ways, with stuff like the substitution of un-Iberian Latin letters by their nearest local equivalent. All that Roman civilisation got squeezed out pretty quick.)
