This is cool: BebaManno reads the Guardian, which means I don’t have to, and I get to learn Italian at the same time. (I see Italian as a kind of easy back door into Provençal.) BM’s previous post links to the Mandarin section of Corriere della Sera. I am not sure whether this is aimed at Beijingois anxious to grasp accurately the finer points of Giovanni Sartori’s views on Hamas, or for Italians who, like me, cannot be ar$ed to read the whole thing and believe to boot that defective comprehension is a sign of breeding. (Do you regret your immediate reaction to the news that, while Jersey dialect has a word for someone from Belfast, French doesn’t? Eh?)
