<ritualmoan>Most of the Spanish press get the beast’s Spanish name wrong, and none of them include the Latin. This latter failing is customary and is a real bummer when you start dealing with plants in a region like Catalonia, where, if you travel 50km west, you may find the same vernacular name being used for a completely different kettle of triffids. Sorry, what is shown on the fotos is certainly not a hooded seal, but a harbour seal (Phoca vitulina). Best wishes!
