tunisian textiles

This is the kind of news that must break the hearts of the beards who want to establish little, backward Islamic fiefdoms:

  • Tunisian textile exports to Spain have more than doubled in the last three years.
  • Major Spanish players like Zara, El Corte Inglés, Pull and Bear and Mango are already operating in Tunisia and are being encouraged to upgrade their presence.
  • Tunisian companies are being told to gear up in anticipation of the dismantling of the Multi-Fibre Accord in 2005, which will vastly increase their opportunities this side of the pond.

People with jobs to go to in the morning don’t do crazy stuff at night.
