Beard rage

A DRIVER who tried to run down a pedestrian he thought was terror chief Osama bin Laden has been given a three-month suspended jail sentence. He jumped a red light and sped down a pedestrian street as he chased the bearded shopper. He only failed to hit the man when his car ran into some steps. The 35-year-old driver, who was not identified, told a court in Montpelier, southern France: “My fears over the global terrorist threat must have made me delirious… I accept now it wasn’t Osama bin Laden, but an innocent man who happened to have a long black beard.”
