Here’s El Mundo’s list of who they think’s going to be who in the new government. It’s all rather like a Labour government might have looked in the UK had they won in 83: an authoritarian Communist union boss at Employment, an EU Middle East hack who prefers leaders to citizens at Foreign Affairs (Spanish troops are being pulled out of Iraq in June), and an ex-BBVA paper-shuffler who spent the last year calling for higher taxes as Economics minister. There’s still no coalition announced, so we don’t know yet whether Catalan separatist Carod is going to achieve his (alleged) dream and become Interior minister.
