Instead of selling or giving your junk to the gypsies, you're now expected to pay EUR40 an hour for state-subsidised quasi-charitable businesses run by nice white boys to come and take the stuff away. A foreign friend here died recently and the family - who were already pretty disorientated - had to put up with abuse from the "charity" concerned because a library of English novels didn't have a sufficiently high resale value.
