Global anti-civilisation network

Away, Mr Cruise, with all your pantomime knife-waving; get thee gone, Rousseau, and take your half-baked chain reform proposals with you: a triumphant return to a noble past undefiled by deracinating globalism requires nothing less than an end to civilisation. And where better to start than in Catalonia:

PEOPLE AGAINST CIVILIZATION’S GATHERING 2004. TOWARD AN ANTICIVILIZATIO NETWORK ? During April 31, May 1 and 2 we are going to meet in Catalunya, in an anarchist people gathering against civilization and dominance. We want to share projects, experiences, ideas… and maybe to look forward an anticivilization network of people and groups opposed to civilization. Last year, at the beginning of May we met in Barcelona in a similar way, with pretty good results. So, this year we want to repeat the same but trying to better the quality, intensity and longing of the relationship. The place and the exact program will be diffuse some weeks before the event. If you are interested in getting involved you can contact us, and give us a conventional or email direction to send you the information. It would be churlish to note that record-keeping, political institutions, and the use of complex technology are all pretty civilised, were it not for the fact that this kind of confusion seems to be endemic here. Xavier Mas Gibert’s excellent Guerra - Revolució i Contrarevolució a Canet de Mar (1936-1943) (Mataró, 2002) records that when in July 1936 the FAI, the POUM, and the local Young Libertarians destroyed the Sanctuary of Compassion in Canet de Mar one of them wrote in the visitors’ book:

Unfortunately for him it was rescued.
