If, as Francesc Ferrer writes, the Carod scandal is a Madrilenian plot to discredit Catalan nationalism, why did Carod fall for it? He’s not a Spanish agent, is he?

   Ternera has probably done a deal, knowing that is the only way he can avoid spending the rest of his life in prison: Spain and France have agreed not to “catch” him, and he has agreed to help the security services destroy ETA.
