Allegedly oldest mines in Europe (variscite). Coffee & bun. Sheep and old men. Horticulture, some hippy, some conventional. Charming little cemetery and some interesting bits of iron agri-junk. Lunch or snack in charming village withchurchthat is much more interesting than the photo suggests. Great views of the lower Llobregat (photo,+legend, +land use) and across the river towards the Collserola ridge behind Barcelona and the cement factory. Visit to the Gaudí textile complex, Colònia Güell. The mine museum is free. If you want to go down into the mine itself, tell me and I’ll book the specialist guide–like most museums they run a jobs-for-the-boys racket. If you want to visit particular bits of the Colònia Güell, tell me and we’ll adjust our timing to suit their slightly eccentric opening hours. |

Hitting go! on this form sends me email telling what you're interested in. I'll then send you more information and a price, generally €30 per person + €20 fixed. There are ample discounts for large families or individuals with potential for generating interesting conversations with lazy old men along the way--star soccer players, pigeon fanciers and women in search of a haircut spring to mind. Minimum prices apply. Even cheaper walks here.
