The business (basically a CRM database) passed into better hands in 2012. These materials remain here for cannibalisation and amusement.
The baldie meanwhile has found pastures new: as a singing organ-grinder for your event in the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands or Spain!
Edmondo de Amicis wrote that Cadiz "was best described by writing the word 'white' with a white pencil on blue paper." Originally a Phoenician settlement, as Spain's great colonial port Cadiz exceeded London in wealth but then declined with the empire and was fatally wounded by the loss of Cuba and the Philippines in 1898. However if you go to up onto the medieval Torre Tavira watchtower at noon you can still see what de Amicis was talking about, the buildings dazzling amidst the sea and the long narrow isthmus leading to San Fernando on the mainland.
This tour introduces you to all the major sights of pre-20th century Cádiz, including the remains of the city walls, the massive 18th-century cathedral, the remains of the Roman theatre, the castle of Santa Catalina, the Tavira tower, and the usual fare of squares and convents. The tour can be customised to include museum visits or to take in a variety of tasty food and drink stops.
If you don't want to spend more than half a day in Cadiz, please ask us about excursions to Seville and the sherry bodegas of Jerez.
